Try shutting off the video acceleration inside VLC. Settings, Preferences, Video, untick the "Overlay video output" box and save. Now close VLC and restart. Then try to call a file, within VLC.i'm seeing the same problem, but if i open the file in windows media player and then reopen it in vlc it shows fine... haven't had time to really look into it, but it doesn't seem to be any sort of setting that's done incorrectly.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!You can try preferences --> Video and uncheck the box marked "Overlay video output" then go to preferences --> Video --> Output modules --> DirectX and uncheck the box marked "Use hardware YUV->RGB conversions" then press save and restart the player.
