I also disabled "use float32 output" on WeaveOut... worked great for me... thank you all... this player is quite something. Best image ever in my monitor.-reset all
-equalizer 10 bands @ filteropitions
-win32 waveout on "output modules" (advanced [x])
-"Output modules" ---> "DirectX"---> disable "use float32 output" (advanced[x]).
I think this mixture of settings should make some of us happy
shame on me, that was 'only' a driver problemHello, first of all, congratulations for the this multi-media player, the best one without any doubt.
I have the same problem of audio distortion, I have just read the 5 pages of this post, but nothing solved the problem.
My configuration :
- vlc-0.8.2-win32
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Mobile Intel Pentium M, 1400 MHz (3.5 x 400)
- Intel Odem i855PM
- Intel 82801 DB(M) ICH4(-M) - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-1]
Thank you for your assistance !
This solution worked like a charm for me. Thanks!First, I lost sound as others complained, then I reset "Output Module" as default and changed "Audio Output Frequency (Hz)" as 48000 in the Advanced Options of Audio. It worked for me.
Thanks.
but not 100% perfectly, the sound still crackles a wee bit (not a lot at all, VLC IS usable).i solved the problem be deactivating: "use float32-output" at directx and waveout, so i didn't have to change the output-module to win32-waveout...
