I'm having issues streaming from VLC to VDSL Residental Gateways.
I run the MpegTS trough a "Scream Box" that converts it from IP to ATM for the RG's.
My VLC run command is as follows:
/usr/bin/vlc ./file.mpg -L --mtu 550 --sout-keep --sout '#transcode{acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2,samplerate=48000}:standard{access=udp,mux=ts{pid-video=0x087,pid-audio=0x0089},dst=10.1.1.1:50000}'
The result is very choppy audio and some video tiling on most of our older Motorola RG's. The output from VLC looks just fine on Motorola RG3000's, Amino IP Set-top boxes and VLC.
I used the Cisco Video Analyzer on the ethernet port of my VLC server and noticed a lot of audio errors. The errors were "Corrupted Audio Frames" and "Invalid Audio Syncwords".
We have VOD servers that use the "Scream Box" to convert IP to ATM and they work fine.
Is there a VLC command that would correct these errors?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
