No Audio in DirectShow Stream

Postby NYFan77 » 09 Oct 2006 05:57

I have no audio in my directshow stream

I refreshed to get my soundcard to showup but it will not give an output of the audio. I clicked configure and tried to change input from my "line in" but it will not let me apply this .

Any ideas?

If the drivers will not let you switch away from line in then I would expect there should be a cable from the card to the line in for audio. You will need to look at the documentation for your card or contact the manufacturer.

Well the hardware is not the problem. I have audio in my tv tuning programs but i can't get the sound to stream in VLC even though i selected the sound card.

Did you find a solution for this ? I'm having the exact same problem and I've spent hours fiddling about with the VLC software, as well as googling my ass off for an answer :)

As I recall this is a driver issue. Try doing a search here.

I've tried searching, but there are so many threads on this issue...
Do you think it's the Hauppauge drivers ?
