Onscreen controller gone?

I've just installed the latest nightly (PPC - 2006-10-07) and the onscreen controller that I had seen in the earlier nightlies is now gone and no controller is seen.

Do I need to turn this on in the preferences or has it been removed? Or could there be another kind of problem?

now my controller has been gone for at least a month now. does anybody know how this can happen? even after reinstalling an older vlc version, the controller and playlist do not pop up after trying to activate them..

Delete your vlc folder.

0.8.6 != 0.9.0

Both are in development, both have a different timetable, and a different set of features.
