Does VLC support multichannel DTS encoded files?

My DTS wav files playback in stereo. Will the player not reproduce
5.1 ?
Any help appreciated.

Reset, how? It would not play in multichannel a DTS wav file, only in
stereo. (It IS a multichannel file). Plays a "standard" multichannel wav file just fine (5.1).

For you folks that encode dts and use VLC. I normally do not use the sub
channel when encoding, and had to setup VLC for each playback song by
song. I found that if you encode a "dummy" sub channel (the .1 in 5.1),
VLC will recognize it as 5.1 dts and playback all encoded channels with no
problems.
Same goes for Quad, just include "dummies" for the unused channels
when encoding with SurCode, or whatever flavor you use.
