VLC 0.8.5 Subtitles Issue

Postby Keliah » 08 Sep 2006 21:09

Hi,

I have a real problem with the auto subtitle file detection.
It's simply not working...

My file is named :
Prison.Break.S02E03.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi
and my sub :
Prison.Break.S02E03.HDTV.XviD-LOL.srt

They are both in the same folder and I have activated auto detect subtitle files in the preferences...

Is someone else having this problem ?

Does it list the subtitle track in the Video menu when you start playing the avi ?

How do you open the avi ? double click ? or using VLC's open file menu ? (could you try both ?)

3rd post down.

edit:

this is hardly a double post, i am responding to this question because the original thread starter did not bother when help was offered to him. my situation is relevant to his question and i believe it may be rather useful for dionoea regarding this issue.

There is no need to double post here and is discouraged by all. Please read the rules for posting.
