Bluetooth Audio Delay Persists on Specific Videos After Disconnection

Postby Nandan9 » 22 Feb 2025 10:55

Description:
When using VLC for Android with Bluetooth audio devices, setting a specific audio delay using the "Apply to Bluetooth Device" option causes that delay to be permanently applied to videos played during the Bluetooth connection. Even after the Bluetooth device is disconnected, these videos continue to use the Bluetooth-specific delay, overriding any general audio delay settings.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open VLC for Android and play a video.
2. Optionally, set a general "Apply to all videos" audio delay.
3.Connect a Bluetooth audio device (e.g., headphones).
4. Adjust the audio delay and select "Apply to Bluetooth Device".
5.Play several videos while the Bluetooth device is connected.
6.Disconnect the Bluetooth device.
7.Play one of the videos that were played during the Bluetooth connection.

Expected Behavior:
After disconnecting the Bluetooth device, the video should revert to the general audio delay setting (if applied) or the default audio delay.

Actual Behavior:
The video continues to use the Bluetooth-specific audio delay, ignoring any general or default delay settings.

Device Information :
VLC for Android Version: 3.6.4 Beta 2
Device : redmi note 7
Android Version: android 10
