Issues with .mp4 files on Windows 10 (green screen issue)

So, I've used VLC player for a very long time, and it used to be extremely rare that I'd ever come across a video I couldn't play with it. However, for some reason, I've started running into a lot of videos that have a green screen video. The audio plays fine, but it's just a bright green screen the whole time. Currently, two different .mp4 movies I'm trying to play are doing it, and it has been happening more and more often over the last month or so.

I'm not sure if there's something new they're doing to these video formats that VLC is having an issue with, or if something else might be going on here. I haven't changed any of my VLC settings at all in a long time, so it's not that. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears?

Well, nevermind, I just fixed it, lol. For anyone else that might have the same issue, I had to disable "Hardware-accelerated decoding". You go into "Tools" - "Preferences" - "Input/Codecs", and then the very first option on top in "Codecs", the "Hardware-accelerated decoding", simply change that option to "disable", save, and restart the player. It's odd, as I tried this a week ago, and it didn't fix it. Just tried it again now, and it's fine. Only thing I can think is maybe I forgot to hit "save" at the bottom right. Anyway, for anyone else, that worked for me, so give it a shot if you haven't disabled it already.
