Back to browse after video ends

Postby iampowerslave » 30 Oct 2024 02:42

Hi. Sorry for the topic name. Can't find how to describe this issue.

My Android VLC somehow updated to 3.6.0 beta 2.

Before the update when I browsed my Windows shared folder (smb) I went through the computer name shared folder, videos folder, etc.

Browsed videos and played one of them. After the video ended I was back in the same folder I've left.

Now with the new update it sends me back to the Browse root instead. Not all the time but most of it.

Can you look into it?

Using a Moto G9 Plus phone

I am not able to reproduce this issue.

Could you please share some logs? Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).

Hi!

Here's the log: https://pastebin.com/Bjq8vdrf

I must say that you cannot reproduce it right away. If I open a video, scroll to the end of it and let it finish, it will go back to the right folder, but if I watch at least 5 minutes of it, then it will not go back. Seems like a timeout thing

Also this happens, it stays open and does not close if I don't Force Stop it: https://ibb.co/5hWTmxH

And last thing. Logging buttons are disabled after logging if it takes too much time between the start and the end of the logging: https://ibb.co/qCZTFNt

Your first issue should be fixed in Beta 3 that has been published a few days ago.

We will take a look.
