Pauses and resumes playing randomly

Dear all,

it is my first post - I tried to read through the previous topics as probably my question has been asked before. Please apologize if it's a repost, I couldn't find an answer.

My VLC Windows 3.0.21 64 bit on Windows 11 Home stops and resumes playing radomly every few seconds when playing an mp3 file.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Mine on Windows 10 is doing the same thing.....is there a fix for this problem? plays for like maybe 30 seconds then jumps to the next....Thanks!!!!

Try another audio output module:

Don't forget to save and restart VLC after changes.

Looking at the log, Windows is telling VLC to pause and resume. Probably some other app is preempting audio for notifications or such

I'm experiencing a similar issue. Whenever I pause the audio, it resumes playing on its own after about 30 to 60 minutes. Reinstalling or resetting VLC has not resolved the problem.
