Video broadcast using RTSP protocol and TCP transport

Postby J98+5 » 24 Jul 2024 13:46

Hello, I hope you are well, I am trying to output a video using VLC Media Player, where I have configured the RTSP protocol (without touching any settings), and it is received correctly. But by default it works with UDP as I understand it, and I would like to try TCP. Searching the internet, I have seen some alternatives, how to force TCP to be used in the generated broadcast output chain (but I do not receive the broadcast video), also modifying the option from HTTP to RTP over RTSP (TCP), but neither. .. I would like to ask Is it not possible in VLC Media Player as a server to use TCP?

A greeting and thanks in advance

Acting as the server side, VLC does not support Interleaved transport mode at this time. Patches are of course welcome.
