Can only play one track at a time - how to select 'play all'

Hello Everyone - I hope that you can solve this for me. When playing music stored on a USB drive, plugged in to my iPad VLC will only play one track at a time – each folder contains one ‘album’ – I can't see an option to play all – when the same USB drive is plugged in to dedicated USB music players there is no issue – all the metadata etc is correct – how do I select ‘play all’?
