Subtitles make the video jitter

It has happened a few times on different videos: whenever there are added subtitles like srt, whenever the subtitle line/dialogue changes, the video lags for a split second. This happens on every new line/dialogue.

The video runs fine without subtitles.

What is your device model and Android version?
Could you please share some logs? Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).

I am also having this issue in my vlc android app, when i downloaded srt file from "vlc subtitles download option", then the video is not playing, instead the video is playing as Audio.Please help.

Please follow the my guide to export the logs. Yours are not useful unfortunately.

Sorry for the late answer. You don't seem to have reproduced the issue before generating the logs. Please do.

Also, does it happen if you remove the "Video match frame rate" setting?

The problem has not been resolved for me in version 3.5.3. Still get choppy video every time new subtitles pop up on the screen. (Android TV 11)

I talked with @unidan and it seems that subtitles performances will be improved in VLC 4 only. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you will have to wait for this future major version.

The subtitles problem was solved in the past but now the problem is revived again.When I play the video and select any subtitle file the video doesn't play and video closes after about few seconds with black screen.Please resolve the issue.My current vlc version is v 3.5.4.I am and android 11 user.
