How does VLC change icon to santa hat how to stop?
Is it programed to do so or do you somehow have access to my VLC in order to change the icon to a santa hat? I would prefer it not do that thank you.

Menu bar, select Tools Then Preferences, Tick "all" for show settings.
Interface/Main Interfaces/QT. Scroll down to "Allow automatic icon changes", Untick.
