Fraps not working in vlc 3.0.x

Postby Kotake » 25 Jul 2019 22:48

Hello. I've been searching around and not been able to find a solution to this issue, and the only mention of it from over 10y ago.

Fraps doesn't work for me with vlc 3.0.x. No overlay, no recording, no screen capture. I have tried with multiple versions of vlc 3.0.x, both 64 and 32bit. It only works when downgrading to version 2.x.x.

I tried changing the video output to directX, but that didnt help and also made the picture wrong.

I have win10 64bit.

Im ok using an older version, but wondering if maybe there is a way to fix this.

In case it helps someone, wanted to say that I got them to work together by changing video output module in VLC to 'OpenGL video output for Windows' (Preferences > show settings: All > Video > Output modules > Video output module)
