Need Help on a doubt

Hi Brothers kindly need your help to advice me on m doubts
I just install VLC player v3.0.10 from videolan and the size of it was around 38MB.
The question is after i install the player my google chrome automatically closed when i launch back the homepage was different.
The homepage was name as WEBSBAR. i right click on chrome icon and found the location, the folder name stated as firefox. i didnt install firefox before in my laptop, so i unintsall both the firefox and VLC player. But then inside the firefox folder with the file name policies.json i couldnt delete even i am logged in as admin. i tried to delete in safe mode also unable to delete.

Can i know what was the reason
why my chrome automatically change to firefox and the homepage was websbar?
why i was unable to delete the file?
was it a malware issue or web pluggin issue?

looks like you installed VLC from a fishy source. You should always install VLC from https://www.videolan.org/

But after install the VLC player i didn't play any outsource video, i only played my own videos and once i find the firefox issue i uninstall everything

When i couldn't delete one file from the firefox folder, i reformatted my laptop by resetting it to factory setting. Will i still have problems after that.
