DVD menu / submenu when playing from .iso

Postby florian78 » 11 Jan 2020 15:32

Hi,

I'm using VLC for android 3.2.6.
when using VLC for playing .iso files on Android phone (Android 9) I have problems with the dvd menu. basically not with the top menu but with submenu.

while the .iso DVD menu is working totally fine with VLC 3.0.8 64-Bit version for windows it seems to me that this isn't working with the android version?
Is it possible to copy the logic from the windows version to android?

Anybody else is facing this issue, too?
Thank you!

Hi,

just to be sure...was my question understandable? Or did I anything wrong?

Did you get or find a solution?

On my two Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1(Android 9 & 10) I've had a problem with starting to play DVD ISO files.

The first time I play the ISO file, VLC will start at the DVD menu and works fine.

But when I start that file a second time, VLC will not go to the DVD menu screen but only plays the music of DVD menu screen.

The fix I found was to:

1) go to VLC settings,
2) under "Extra settings" press video,
3) press "Resume played videos"
4) and change that setting to "Ask confirmation"

When I start that file again, it asks "Resume from last position?" I press "Play from Start"

It will take me to the DVD menu and I can then watch the video. Unfortunately it does not resume the video from where I left off.

If this helps or if you found a solutions, perhaps you can let me know.

In the 3.3 version, the DVD are indeed now resumed. If you want to go to the menu, you still can use the menu icon on the top left.
