I have a few MP3 files.

I have a play list of them and use VLC to play the files.

Ok, it isn't a super big machine (RPI3) but I am not pushing it with things. It is basically playing MP3 files.

But when each song starts, it stutters.

Why?

Maybe the system is too slow to handle the work load during start, or the audio driver fails to estimate the latency properly.
