Hello,Hello,
Thank you for the reports.
We identified an issue with SMB1/2 and this should be fixed with the next release.

Indeed, thanks for the heads up!Hello,The 3.2.1 release was uploaded yesterday.
We are currently waiting for Apple to review.
For your information, Version: 3.2.1 (335) resolved the error of samba connection that I was having in the previous release version. However, once the smb server was connected, the connect to the server page did not close automatically; I had to tap cancel to close it.
Yes, 3.1 was very stable. I want to destroy my iPad now; watching videos while sick in bed now really sucks thanks to the 3.2.x "update"Just updated to 3.2.1 AND tried.
Prompts me for User Name and Password (which I skipped before) and then connects only very slowly - needs minutes.
I don't have a password on either side of my dual-booting Win 7 + Win 10 machine. In VLC now, I type in the User Name, leave the Password blank, and it' gives me a spinning circle for a long time. Also, the prompt does not go away - I have to hit Cancel. After a few minutes, it shows the Shared folders on my PC.
Connecting finally, but this is much worse than before. There is no improvement in 3.2 over 3.1 - it's definitely worse, and I would gladly go back to 3.1.
Hey - VLC - you're not done here.
Apple's tyranny prevents it. If you want freedom best bet is never buy another iOS device as I will do. I'm sick and tired of crappy updates ruining my hardware that I own.Does anyone know how to go back to previous release please?
Keep in mind, Neon, that SMB vn.1 was deprecated for vital security reasons. I'd advise you to ensure that vn.1 is purged from your devices ..unless you want others to play around inside them remotely.SMB (version 1 I believe) connection to my media streamer device, a Verbatim Mediashare hasn’t worked on VLC since version 3.x
Works absolutely fine on other apps like nPlayer and Infuse. Would love to see this working again.
