It would be great to have a feature like that and I think most people would like something of that sort.

Not really a feature but still. When speeding up a video the audio gets sped up in a weird way, like it cuts out some parts of the audio. For example if I speed up by 200% the audio only speeds up by 150% and then it's cut up to compensate (if that makes any sense), anyways, just something I've noticed when comparing to mpc-hc and youtube.

I apologize if necro'ing old thread like this is frowned upon but I recently installed Infuse 6 Pro on my Apple TV 4 and I love it's ability to direct play everything and I REALLY love the little thumbnail preview it gives you when scrubbing. What I don't like is if I scrub too much, video playback turns into a mosaic mess and stays that way until I back out of the video and start fresh.

With VLC, I can scrub back and forth all day with no issues but...... no thumbnail preview.

Would love to see this feature added!

People have been asking for this for 13 years, according to various Google results, so I wouldn't hold my breath. However, if you're looking for a lightweight player that does this (or if the VLC developer is looking for inspiration on how), MPC-BE handles it fine.
