Unable to play *.trec files

Hello. I'm unable to select *.trec files from the "open file" functionality of the application. On the Win32 application, I can do this. Is there a way to play *.trec files in the Windows Store app?

Yep it's not one of the currently supported extensions https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... ensions.cs
Maybe try to drag and drop into the app?
I don't have a sample of this type of file, could you share one so I can try to make this work?
