Window furniture missing

Postby AntonM » 16 May 2018 12:24

For the past few days, perhaps a week or more, the usual Windows minimise, resize, and close icons are missing from their usual location at the right of the Windows title bar.

I've looked through VLC settings but could not find any help there.

All other Windows app windows show the furniture as before.

I'd be most grateful for any help, please?

Hi,

VLC doesn't remove theses buttons. Did you try to reset your preferences? does this occurs with VLC 3.0?

I didn't think it was VLC that removed those buttons, but it's only VLC that seems to be affected.
I've just reset preferences - it made no differences. I'm actually not aware of having changed them at any time either.
VLC 3.0? When I asked my version to check for updates, it says that it is the latest version - 2.2.6!
... however ...
VideoLAN's website offers VLC 3.0.2 for Windows 64 bits, so I uninstalled my version and installed 3.0.2, and that now has all the expected Windows furniture.

Thanks for your help!
