Are you ever gonna fix this??????????????

Postby ayylmao » 08 May 2018 13:23

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P68CXnhAPFw

This bug has been around since... FOREVER. I bought a GTX 1050 a year ago when the latest version of VLC was 2.0 and now VLC 3.0 is out and they STILL HAVEN'T FIXED IT.

Screenshots I just took

Normal (washed out colors): Image

After doing what the youtube vid above says (looks good): Image

Videos look great on Windows Media Player and MPC-HC so WHY DO THEY HAVE TO LOOK SO UGLY ON VLC? And don't blame it on NVIDIA.

Complain to NVIDIA.
Are you serious??? Complain to NVIDIA?? Why? Videos look good on Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic and other media player software. THE ONLY media player that makes videos look bad is VLC. It's VLC's problem, not NVIDIA's.

The link is at the top of my first post, you didn't see it? I'm gonna make it bigger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P68CXnhAPFw

Hello,
Are you serious??? Complain to NVIDIA?? Why? Videos look good on Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic and other media player software. THE ONLY media player that makes videos look bad is VLC. It's VLC's problem, not NVIDIA's.
Unfortunately, there is little we can do about it.
This is part of the NVidia driver default settings, and VLC does have the permissions to change them on your computer.

Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic use other frameworks to display videos, which explains the difference.
