Broadcast problem

Postby masterlu » 16 Dec 2005 14:13

I'm setting up a streaming server using VLC. The VLC streams WMV files perfectly. There is just one problem. In the debug log there are 2 messages:
main http daemon: httpd doesn't reference any host, deleting
main private: creating httpd

This hickup has the annoying result that the listeners connection is reset and has to press play again for the next file. Is there any solution to this?

Hello,

Use the "sout-keep" option (available in the Stream output part of the preferences)

Thanx! The connection doesn't break indeed. I forgot this function existed in VLC. But, there is another problem know. The player freezes the movie at the end of the movie and doesn't start with a new file.

yes I know about the sout-keep option but why doen't the playlist continue to the next clip. we did try it with the same clip so all settings are equal. still the first clip freezes before the second clip starts.
I also tried windows as OS with the same result.
