8 channel audio doesn´t work

Hey folks
seems that 8-channel AAC audio doesn´t work in any VLC version. Just switching between scratching and muting.

Issues occur randomly, scratching and muting isn´t everytime in the same time of playing.
Happy to give you anything more, just ask.
One thing I tried was also Audio channel remapper (I have got only 2.1 speakers) but it also didn´t help.

It seems to play fine for me on a stereo system with VLC 3.0.0 nightly build.

Can you post a sample of this one please ?

Side: 4 is something unusual.

Just tried the latest 3.0.0 nightly and it works perfectly with that sample I sent you, thanks!
Before 3.0.0 I used 2.2.x

Yes, I can reproduce the issue.
And it's playing fine with any other player I've tried including FFplay.

You should create a new ticket on the VLC Trac with the links to your file and to this thread.

I use MPC for this. Because vlc 3 nb crashes everytime I played a MKV with 8 acc Audio channel . You can download MPC together with K-Light Codec pack.

Non videolan provided version ? (Linux build or..) which means unpatched faad.

Otherwise provide sample if you want it to be fixed.
