"Continue playback" is not fixed

Hi!

I had this issue where resuming video didn't work and found from trac that it was supposedly fixed. So I reset my VLC settings and the issue was fixed. Now, some time later resuming video doesn't work anymore yet again. I don't think resettings settings regularly to fix this is not a solution to this.

What's the permanent fix for this or is this ever going to get fixed by the devs?

VLC: 2.2.4
MacOS: 10.12.1

Can you please give us the exact trac ticket you are referring to here? Then I'll try to take a look.

Can you also try the latest 2.2.5 and 3.0 version from nightlies.videolan.org? Thanks a lot.

I can get it to work in 2.2.2 and the 3.0 nightly (vlc-3.0.0-20161217-0441-git-win64.exe). None of the ones in between.
