equalizer corruption- music playback loop

Postby corey » 07 Sep 2016 16:35

Windows 7 ultimate
most current VLC from site downloaded couple days ago.
Sound through HDMI to LCD TV vizio 37in,
ATI HD 68**? or 69**?
Driver packaging version: 15.20.1062.1004-150803a1-187669C
AMD Audio Driver Version 7.12.0.7722
^^^^Correct driver.

Most recent Audio driver is flawed and breaks sound through HDMI.

Anyone know how to fix the equalizer corruption to sound, when playing music playlist on loop? This is a VLC issue and not driver or card issue, since it happened on multiple setups I had.

I use VLC in its default configuration for audio related issues.

Its fine for the first or few plays, then the sound goes bad, causing sound corruption and distortion. Static, garbled, wrong frequencies, lowered overall sound, etc

I like using the equalizer for lowering the base so as not to disturb neighbors in building. low base vibrations travels Through materials much more readily than high frequency. Where lowering speaker "base" is not enough. So I tweek it in a slant like >>"/" to remove more of the base.
