Hi guys,
Once the SMB issues are resolved, I'd like to use it to stream media from a Mac on my network to the Apple TV on my network. How does one go about setting up SMB? Are there any guides I can try to follow?

Just enable File Sharing in your Mac's System Preferences (see "Sharing").
