The VLC web site is currently reporting over 13,000,000 downloads of VLC 0.8.2. Is this real?

Yes, we are really glad about this success especially since this number only shows the downloads for Windows (about 11,5 millions), OSX (1,8 millions) and the source code (around 250,000). The downloads for Linux aren't even counted.
