video library for short film festival

Postby ifco » 24 Sep 2015 19:36

hi, we are a short film festival and for our video library, which consists of 5 windows xp machines, we would like to use vlc with an individualized skin for our festival guests to look at all shorts in all programs. ideally everything should be set up in the same program structure to be navigated only by keyboard arrows and selected by enter. the movie files can be stored on the individual computer or better yet on a local server to which the viewing station are cabled to. the interface should be the only thing that viewers have access too. has anybody used vlc for a similar purpose and can help us with this? thank you

Dear ifco,

this VLC media player Skin Editor might help you: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/skineditor.html , as long as you save the data on the computer or use an easily accessible network share.

Regards,
Poldy
