Tutorial for DVD ripping
Has anyone created a simple step-by-step tutorial for creating a file on my PC from a movie DVD using VLC Media Player?

Use thhe free tool Handbrake for ripping.

Unfortunately I am using Windows XP and HandBrake only goes back to Vista. Any other suggestions?

HandBrake version 0.9.9-1 is also suitable for Windows XP.
