OSD for volume

Postby tgo » 15 Sep 2015 17:31

Does VLC have an option to show OSD for volume?

I have attached a picture of another player as an example:

The only option we have so far is a vertical progress indicator which is displayed when using hotkeys or the mouse / trackpad to change playback volume. There is no way to permanently display the current volume.

When I use the hotkeys I also get the text "Volume 80%" in the upper right corner very similar to the screenshot above. I think you just have to use the hotkeys to see anything.

Yes, I didn't mean permanently.
I am using www.unifiedremote.com and VLC is not showing any OSD message with it. I'll try to contact the program's developers.
