Enqueuing issue

Postby pkinnane » 24 Jul 2015 19:01

I am fairly new to VLC and to this forum. Under Open Media and Nework tab, I can play a network stream by providing the full HTTP URL. Under Show More Options, I see the ability to enter a Start Time and using the drop down arrow beside Play to select Enqueue. Via instructions on another website, under Tools/Preferences, I selected "Enqueue items into playlist in one instance mode". I also selected "Allow Only One instance". I opened up a blank playlist and through the "Media/Network tab - show more options", I added a start time and selected Enqueue from the Play drop down list. I see the item added to my playlist but I guess there is something I don't understand because the stream never starts at the designated time I set. I have tried numerous combinations of things but can't make it work. And I have saved the playlist. Any thoughts on what step I might be missing? If I could get this to work, it would solve a huge issue with recording a late night multi hour network stream. I am running Windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit, and VLC 2.2.1

Playlist is not a task scheduler.

Obviously, Change the start time for the media can confuse some users :-|
An' if ain't broke, then don't try to fix it...
