VLC with VA Remote and Chromecast

Postby clayto » 27 May 2015 18:26

Does anyone have experience with the Windows Store app VA Remote and Chromecast? I am begining to get the hang of VA Remote, I can play music and Cast photos to the TV. But I have had no success with videos. Nothing I have will play (unlike RealPlayer / Real Time which has played everything I have tried so far) and, which is the point of this posting here, VLC has not yet been recognised and listed as a device to play to. Nor has WMP which I have configured to accept remote control as advised in the VA Remote manual.

So my question is, can VLC be configured to accept remote control / sharing or whatever, and if so how is it done? I have not been able to find a menu item for this in VLC.

Probably your GPU does not allow this.
