As requested i opened Ticket for the broken DirectShow Screen:@UltrapowerI opened already Ticket 1 month ago, but the VLC Devs had no time to fix it
Maybe you can add to the ticket that other people experience the same problem with different hardware.
I use this feature daily to watch live TV.
If needed I can also make a log.
I tried with Live-Caching to 0ms and the Stream was displayed for about 5 seconds and then freeze (could not convert timestamp)Have the same issue, lowering the caching (under 'show more options') from 300ms to 80ms for example solved the problem for me. it's low so it fails from time to time but it's better than nothing and may help debugging as well.
Well 0ms caching is a bit harsh, I think it shouldn't work from different reasons, 80ms worked for me but try playing with it... not saying it's a good solution but it may work...I tried with Live-Caching to 0ms and the Stream was displayed for about 5 seconds and then freeze (could not convert timestamp)Have the same issue, lowering the caching (under 'show more options') from 300ms to 80ms for example solved the problem for me. it's low so it fails from time to time but it's better than nothing and may help debugging as well.
