Set audio track 2 as default

Postby stix16 » 11 May 2015 03:18

I'm am using 2.2.1 and am trying to have it setup to play the second audio track. I've tried almost every combination for audio track and audio track id with -1, 0, 1, 2, and can't get it to work. The file info is below. What should I set these two values to for the second audio track? It always plays the first audio track or disable. I can switch it with Audio -> Audio track, but want to start that way automatically.

Thanks!

I had tried track id 3 with an audio track of -1 through 2, saving and closing each time before trying. It just loads as disable. Is there a way to see what audio track and audio track id is while playing, so I can switch it to the correct one manually and see what it is set to?

Thanks!

Try following settings:
Tools > Preferences > Show settings = All > Input/Codecs:
Audio track [1]
Audio track ID [-1]

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran it with Audio Track [1], Audio track ID [-1], and it came back as disable. With Audio Track [1], and Audio Track ID [1], it plays the first audio track (audio #1), but every other Audio Track ID [-1,0,2,3] with Audio Track [1] plays disable. Also tried this with a similarly encoded video (in this case audio #2 is AC3, but otherwise the same type of file) and get the same results. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

Setting audip to "6" instead of the default "-1" , solves it for me.

Everytime i play a recorded multitrack mkv file from an OBS session, VLC now plays the 6th track automatically.
