rotate subs in VLC 2.2.0?

Hi,
The rotation feature is excellent! but how to rotate the subs?

Try a .ass sub format. You can code .ass to display vertically, but I haven't tested how VLC interprets it.

Yes, that's a good idea. VLC is able to vertically render ass files in the latest releases.
