Such a good feature, featured on windows but not in mac os x. Couldnt this be fixed easily?

Nope, this requires some further work, but it is on our todo-list. This won't be included in the forthcoming 0.8.4 release, but we hope to add this afterwards.

This is a very old topic now, but something which still isn't in at least the UB nighties.

Does anyone know the timeframe to include this feature?

No it will not be in.
Perhaps 0.8.6
