What is the current roadblock to VLC on windows RT?

What is / was the reason for the 2nd (?3rd+?) time that the VLC app was denied / rejected from the windows 8 / rt app store?

I heard the first time, it got rejected for crashing.

Could you please update the kickstarter or your blog with some more info? We are all salivating to have VLC on Surface 2 tablets (and Surface RT).

Yes, the amount of information we get about a project we funded is quite sad. Nobody replied to my emails, I hope someone will reply in the forum.
I see a "VLC 3.1" app in the forums but it has a rating of 1, it's not created by you and it has a ridiculously small file size.

We have 2 crashes on the audio, that we've (I've) just fixed.
We now need to recompile the thing, but we have an issue in the buildsystem

VLC for life!

If it doesn't release until after Windows 8.1 Update 1, that is OK with me. I just hope that they don't change too much stuff in "update 1" that delays the project.

I heard it passed!!! Congrats. Can't wait for the word that it is in the store for windows 8. I personally won't be able able to use it until the windows 8.1 RT version comes out. I hope packaging it for Windows 8.1 RT is not hard,

I know you guys at VLC are busy and so the last thing any VLC fans want to do is tie up your time with persistant questions about prject updates like VLC for Windows RT. That said I can't find any kidn of Project Status page that details where VLC is at within some project at least not for WIndows RT or at least not that I could find.

Is there such a Project Status page (for all projects like this one for Windows RT) and if no is that something you or others at VLC might consider? I know there is a PROJECTS page but its either notall inclusive or its missing the VLC for Windows RT project.

It wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Even if its nothing more then section in the forum I can guarantee you that you'd get a lot less inqueries. You'd still get some but definately a lot less. If by chance such a page already exists then there needs to be a better/easier way to find it.

i just want videolan to fix a few things off the 2.2 branch of the universal release. it's been delayed 6 weeks as it is. i suspect due to kickstarter/android/ios. still, great work as always.
