Display/arrange FLAC by album

I'm not sure if I'm missing something and Google searches don't seem to be helping, but here is my problem:

I am trying to listen to FLAC audio files but am not having any luck with having them arranged in order by album. They actually seem to play OK, it's just a matter of having them arranged so that the album songs play in the correct track sequence.

Furthermore, even though they seem to play OK I can only see the files in "all files" mode. They do not show up under "Music".

If I was just uploading an album at a time it might not be too bad but when I upload multiple albums as I need to be able to do all of the tracks are jumbled up.

I am running the most recent version (2.2.0) on an iPad Air. I upload the files via iTunes and have no problems doing so. I do not see the ability to create directories. I don't have playlist files for them (they are downloaded from filesharing sites) and I don't know if FLAC contain metadata so I'm not sure if it exists in these particular files.

Am I missing something or is VLC just not good for playing FLAC albums?

Directories will come on next major versions for iOS.

Not showing under Music is not normal, though. File a bugreport.
