VLC 2.2.0 - all .flv files disappeared after update

Postby Hups » 21 Jan 2014 12:45

Dears, this is a serious bummer...
All of my tv shows in .flv format disappeared from the All Files view.
There are nowhere to be found. The ios usage shows that they are still there though.

Any help much appreciated.
Cannot restore to precious version, no access to a computer.

Thanks
cheers

Are they listed in the TV show section?

No, TV Shows section is empty. They are also not listed in the Music Albums section.
Also noticed this:
1) when I have the .flv file in another app
2) I click it and it asks me Open In which app
3) I select the VLC player
4) After some seconds the VLC player is started
5) The file is not present anywhere in neither of the libraries

This seems to happen only with .flv files. This was working perfectly in the precious version where the file was copied to VLC...

Yep, the issue with the latest update is that it expects a show name ahead of S00E00, so if file name starts with S00E00, show name is "" and in turn, the entire show won't be displayed despite the file is correctly stored and actually available for playback. I hope to have a working version in your hands next week!
