VLC tries too hard...

Postby fly135 » 26 Nov 2013 21:24

...to remember your history. I found that if I made a case error when typing in a string such as ... rtsp://192.168.1.10/Stream1 when I meant to make it a lower case "stream1", I cannot correct it.

VLC continues to remember the first entry and ignores the case change in the string. How can I delete the history? Since history is a security/privacy issue I would think it could be deleted. Just can't find the interface item that handles this.

Can delete history by clearing preferences. Not the best way, but at least a way. The inability to change case in the network string is a bug.

FYI, Looks like the file... vlc-qt-interface.ini in AppData/Roaming contains the offending history.
