When i'm playing a series with dual audio its in japanese i selected the audio track choosing english but it doesn't stay the same when next episode plays i've tried preferences audio and entering en and english nothing happened how do i select english? so vlc can play the next episodes in english

when playing one of my anime it works stays in english when the next episode plays but the second anime doesn't stay the same the audio track changes back to japanese even though in preferences its set to english

Tools > Preferences > (Show settings = All) > Input / Codecs: Track settings:
Audio language [eng] or ["eng"] do not work?
What do you see in VLC menu Audio > Audio Track > ... ?

i tried english, en and eng when i click on audio tracks track 2 is for english it plays in english but when switching to the next episode it changes back to japanese

If the audio track is identified as a general "Track 2" instead of "English", then you cannot use Audio language ["eng"] option in preferences. But there is Audio track [1] option you could use to play always the second audio track if it is always the English one that you want.
