The program IDs depend on your broadcaster. If you don't have the list anywhere, you may need to scan the frequencies.

the frequency i use for dvb-t i got from a site where is listed all frequencies in my country

LE google it and found w_scan ... problem is i'm not on linux, i'm on windows

so, ok, how do i scan frequencies with vlc on windows ? :)

that is the first question
second question:

i managed to boot some linux, and scaned ...
scan result:
Pro Tv HD:546000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_16:HIERARCHY_NONE:256:258:101
Sport.ro HD:546000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_16:HIERARCHY_NONE:356:358:102

w_scan result:
Pro Tv HD;ProTv:546000:I999B8C23D0M64T8G16Y0:T:27500:256=27:258=eng;259:0:0:101:86:1:0
Sport.ro HD;ProTv:546000:I999B8C23D0M64T8G16Y0:T:27500:356=27:358=ron:0:0:102:86:1:0

so i did tried every number that is different on second one, it still starts only on first/default one

so, which one is the SID ?

and let me remid you the original topic: i don't want to start playing and then change channel, i want to start directly on some channel other than default

I use VLC Media player and get the stream from my server and go to menu Tools ---> Codec information(Crtl+J) . I will see the Program all :
such as : Program 703 after that I don't know how to use it in LibVLC ? please give me some sample code

Thanks so much
