convert to MP4 (audio AAC) : cannot open encoder

Postby GMV_Lyon » 24 May 2013 15:57

Hi all

I have to convert a wmv file to flv or mp4 format, and both of theses format return errors. So i will post 2 specific subjects. Here is for MP4 conversion.

I choose
- MP4/MOV container
- H264 video codec
- MP4 AAC audio codec

Here are some messages :

Code: Select all

qt4 warning: Transcode MRL: sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=0,scale=0,acodec=mp4a,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:std{access=file,mux=mp4,dst='C:\Temp\denis.mp4'} ... main debug: looking for encoder module: 13 candidates avcodec debug: libavcodec already initialized avcodec error: cannot open encoder main debug: no encoder module matching "any" could be loaded main debug: TIMER module_need() : 7.432 ms - Total 7.432 ms / 1 intvls (Avg 7.432 ms) ...
what's wrong in my settings ?
Thx

Workaround is to revert to 2.0.5 (see viewtopic.php?f=14&t=111080). Let's hope for a full fix soon.

Indeed, i'tried with v2.0.5 and it'is ok for AAC encoding
thank you

... strange :
2.0.4=> KO,
2.0.6 => KO
2.0.7 => KO
only 2.0.5 seems to manage to encode AAC correctly

No use to instal the 2.0.5 version-Nor the 64 nor the 32 version does work for AAC either (is the installer on the FTP server another one than thew original because of license problems about the AAC encoder ????
