Play .ts files (missing PAT/PMT)

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Play .ts files (missing PAT/PMT)

Postby antivirtel » 13 Feb 2013 10:43

Hi!

I'm using VLC on cross platform. My DVB receiver records the videos in .ts format (MediaInfo output here), and when I want to play them in VLC, the VLC does nothing, just the VLC window opens.

I could convert the videos with Avidemux, and play back with the receiver, so they are ok.

What can I do to let VLC to play that .ts?

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply @nkoriyama. As I see, these words are releated to MPEG-TS container:
There are 4 PSI tables: Program Association (PAT), Program Map (PMT), ...

Source.
Could you please help me, how to deal with the missing things? I really want to preview these files without opening the Avidemux itself.

Thank you!
