vlc keeps changing my default player

How can i have VLC Player stop my file associations with other players?
It takes over everything even when i uncheck all VLC associated files.

File associations are set during installation, so you need to reinstall VLC and check the proper file types you want to use during the setup.

i did all that, it still makes itself the default.

Hi,
maybe you can change it :
1 - rclick on Destop (my pc)
2 - write "extension" in search into control panel
