Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library

Postby Deroghat » 24 Aug 2012 11:54

Hello. Ever since got my computer in April i´we had this problem with VLC. Sometimes I can watch an entire movie without getting this error other times it happends right away. I have tried reinstalling VLC several times, downloaded runtime fixes from microsofts webpage but nothing seems to work. On my previous computer I never had this problem on and no one I know have ever heard about this realy odd error. So my question is, do anyone here know a way to fix this? Because the only other thing I can think of is reinstalling Windows. Thanks in advanced.

You do have an updated and working anti-virus/anti-malware program?
Is VLC the only program crashing with this error?
What version of windows?
What version of VLC?

Have you updated your drivers, notably Video?

Try to deactivate audio in preferences and restart VLC. See if that still happens.
Do the same for video.
