VLC 2.0 and MPEG-DASH -> doesn't play

Hi Team,

I've just tried VLC 2.0.0 on two dash assets (not encrypted), however both fail to play, and I suspect that VLC even doesn't find out that they're DASH.
Is there something I miss in the behavior of VLC? For example, does VLC expect DASH assets to be suffixed .mpd?

Asset #1: http://download.od.tv-radio.com/tnt2.0/ ... xt/mpd.xml
Asset #2: http://playready.directtaps.net/mpegdas ... it_720.xml

Any suggestion will be appreciated

Hi,

I tried to play the following stream
http://www-itec.uni-klu.ac.at/dash/js/c ... _1080p.mpd
using a nightly build
"VLC 2.1.0-git-20120521-0037 Rincewind"
as suggested but the player still failed and it raised the below error messages. Are there any settings to perform on the player to get it play mpeg-dash urls ?

I can't copy the complete log as it contains a lot of URL, this is not allowed by the post editor:
"Your message contains too many URLs. The maximum number of URLs allowed is 4"

Can you please just try to play these urls and you will get errors. Thanks

Yes I did, the release I used is VLC 2.1.0-git-20120521-0037 (nightly build)

I'd tried to sort out an error, but I gave up after few days because running out of time and the source code was difficult to get in. Anyway, thanks for your support.
